  Biography  

Vadim Troyanowski was born in Nizhnij Tagil, Siberia in 1937. He graduated from St. Pertersburg Academy of Fine Arts with focus on Sculpture in 1967. Since 1971 he is a member of the Russian Artists' Union.

Vadim Troyanowski's art works can be seen at the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, museums in Krasnoyarsk, Samara and Nizhnij Novgorod.

Vadim Troyanowski prefers to work with marble, granite, bronze and ceramics. He transforms traditional composition classic style forms into new aesthetic resources.

The artist has created wide range of sculpture works from small-scale sculpture to monumental and decorative. Few famous monuments were devoted to the nation's best-known poets Anna Akhmatova and Olga Bertgoltst. His sculptures decorate parks and buildings in Yaroslavl, Sevastopol and other Russian cities.

Vadim Troyanowski's solo-exhibitions were held at the Museum of Urban sculpture, St. Petersburg Artists' Union exhibition hall and museums in Alma-Ata, Kazah Republic. International exhibitions were held in Millwaukee USA, in "de Mijt" gallery, Netherlands and the "Pantheon" Gallery, Belgium.

The sculptor participated in the numerous professional exhibitions that have been held in Russia, France, Greece, Germany, U.S.A., Belgium, Netherlands, China and Canada. Artist's works are represented in private collections in Russia, USA, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, China and Canada. Vadim's name appeared in 1999 year issue of "Who is who in St. Petersburg". From 1996 to 2001 Vadim Troyanowski has been elected to become Vice-President of St. Petersburg Artists' Union of Russia.
